LOCAL BUS SERVICE
Brentwood Borough is a compact walking community with an excellent public transportation infrastructure. The Port Authority of Allegheny County operates five bus lines that connect our municipality to both the urban core and popular suburban shopping centers.
Route 51 Carrick provides service along Brownsville Road. Some buses travel between Downtown Pittsburgh and Century III Mall, while others short turn at the Brentwood Loop near W. Bellecrest Ave. Route 51L Carrick Limited provides rush hour express service from Brentwood Towne Square.
Route Y49 Prospect Flyer connects Downtown with the CCAC South Campus in West Mifflin. Route Y46 Elizabeth Flyer offers service between Downtown Pittsburgh and the towns of Clairton and Elizabeth. Route Y1 Large Flyer serves as a rush hour express version of the route that truncates at the Large Park & Ride Lot in Jefferson Hills. All three lines serve the PA 51 (Saw Mill Run Blvd) corridor.

AIRPORT ACCESS
Pittsburgh International Airport connects Brentwood with an array of popular business and leisure destinations from across the country and around the world. Located approximately 22 miles from our community, the airport can be reached by taking PA 51 to the I-376 onramp and then following this route to Exit 53. Alternatively, you can avoid delays and parking fees by transferring from any Port Authority bus route in Downtown Pittsburgh to the 28X Airport Flyer.
INTERCITY BUS & RAIL SERVICE
Brentwood residents are just minutes away from daily Amtrak service to exciting New York City, Washington, and Chicago at Downtown Pittsburgh’s Union Station.
Cross-country bus travel is a breeze for Brentwood residents. Greyhound service departs from the Intermodal Terminal in Downtown Pittsburgh, while Megabus routes board just across the street at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
CARPOOLING
Residents can reduce their carbon footprint, fuel expenses, and general commuting stress by ride sharing with neighbors. The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission hosts a list of car and vanpools that are seeking additional passengers.
