In a democratic society, governmental officials are ultimately accountable to the public. Leaders must carefully weight decisions with the needs of the citizens in mind and must take responsibility for the consequences of their choices. Accountability is increased substantially when administrators embrace the value of transparency. By utilizing open decision-making processes and keeping accessible records, governments can demonstrate to citizens that they are working to spend taxpayer money in a fair and efficient manner. At Brentwood Borough, we strive to eliminate the red tape that separates the public from governmental information. Residents or researchers can complete the Right-to-Know Request form available below to receive copies of most municipal documents. Submissions will be accepted at the municipal building, via fax to the main Borough line, or via email. Manager George Zboyovsky serves as the official Open Records Administrator.
